What is the time commitment to join a Travel basketball team?

Any travel sports team will have a significant commitment associated with being a member of the organization. It can be broken up into 3 different sections. Practice time , Tournaments, and Fund Raising.

How do I choose the right travel team for my daughter?

Assuming that the parents and the Student-Athlete are willing to make the time commitment, choosing a travel team can be a little easier. What are your expectations from a travel team? Consider the following questions before deciding:

Do you want to travel to multiple states or stay more centralized in Florida?
Does the travel organization have opportunities for the student athlete to pursue a college scholarship?
What is the cost to join the organization? Will there be fundraisers to offset the expenses of the travel organization season?
Are the coaches experienced? Have any of them coached or currently coaching at the Collegiate, High School or Middle School level?
How much playing time will my daughter get?

Do parents have to travel to all the tournaments?

As we try to encourage parents to travel to as many tournaments as possible to support their daughter and her team, we realize that some parents work weekends and have other financial constraints that may inhibit them from traveling and watching all the games. We have a travel policy in place when these circumstances arise. Additional information is listed in the Player/Parent Handbook.

What is your refund policy?

We strongly urge each participant to consider the time and financial commitments of participating with our organization, prior to signing the agreement. Once the commitment has been made, there will be no refunds given if your athlete leaves the program voluntarily or is dismissed by the coaching staff or administration. Please note that dismissals can occur if there is a violation of the Player or Parent Code of Conduct.
