What is AAU Travel Basketball?

Why are we affiliated?

AAU stands for Amateur Athletic Union (https://aausports.org/) and it is one of the largest non-profit, travel sports organizations in operation. In addition to AAU, the USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association) and YBOA (Youth Basketball of America) organizations are also successful and well known across the country. Most travel basketball teams belong to at least one of these organizations. MHD Elite seeks to give our young ladies every opportunity to advance as an athlete and gain exposure in the sport of basketball. The AAU is what allows MHD Elite to accomplish this mission.

Travel Basketball gives student athletes the opportunity to extend their normal season by contending at a higher level of competition. The experience is extremely impactful and can help the young ladies understand how their Motivation, Hard-work, and Dedication can lead them to becoming an Elite Player.
